S8 No Sound Notification On Text Messaging AppProblem: In further investigating my galaxy S8 text message issue, which I do not get a sound notification when I receive a text.
I get into my App Notifications, Messages, General Notification only gives me two options; No sound or Off. Then in the New Messages; again there are only two options No sound or Off. This is so frustrating!!!!!Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to press and hold the text messaging app icon then tap on app info. Scroll down to notifications and make sure that it is not blocked. If it is then just tap the Allow Notifications slider to the on position. You should be able to get text notifications after this. You can also go to the text message notification settings of the phone to customize the way you receive the notifications.
Tap Messages. Tap the Menu icon. Tap Settings. Tap Notifications. Tap the Messages switch make sure that it is on.S8 Photos Can’t Be Read By Other DeviceProblem: I took pictures on my galaxy s8 and copied them to the SD card on my wife’s S7.
When she looked in the gallery using her phone the pics didn’t display. All other pics on the SD did appear as usual. I used My files and was able to navigate to the pictures on the SD card.
They displayed fine through My Files. After sometime on the internet I had deleted.nomedia files, cleared cache on Gallery and deleted data and cache on the Media Storage process. I restarted the phone and allowed time for the index to rebuild.
All pics appeared but not the ones I transferred. I ran a SD refresh app and, while it did add some hidden files to the Gallery it didn’t add my transferred files. I converted the jpgs to pngs and they appeared in the Gallery. I have concluded that there must be difference in the file properties for s8 files and those on S7. Do you know if this is the case and can it be resolved? All sw on the S7 is up to date.
I’d appreciate any advice. Solution: It looks like the problem might be caused by a glitch in the copying process. How did you copy the photos to the SD card?
The process that you did might be a factor that’s causing the problem. Try using a Bluetooth connection to transfer the photos between the devices.
You can also try connecting both phones to a computer then use the file manager program of the computer to copy the photos from the S8 to the S7. S8 Instagram App Keeps On CrashingProblem: Hi there, First I would like to thank you for offering this service!
Your website has helped me multiple times in the past and I’m hoping this will be a relatively easy fix. I have a samsung galaxy S8 on a medium data plan with koodo- my instagram app is not functioning properly.
When trying to upload video to a story, or watching others videos, the app will freeze for minutes before finally crashing. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling has worked for short periods of time but the problem persists. This issue is made worse by my wifi connecting and disconnecting (I read about changing the channel on my router and unfortunately both the 2.4 and the 5 have the same issue). I am wondering if this is a common problem to have with this model- thank you in advance for any help or information you can provide!Solution: There’s a possibility that the problem is caused by the intermittent internet connection. To check if this is the case try connecting the phone to a different Wi-Fi network then check if the issue still occurs. In case it does then you should make sure that your phone is running on the latest software update. It’s also best to clear the cache and data of the Instagram app from the application manager then check if the issue still occurs.
S8 Clock Application Stopped ErrorProblem: Hello, I have a 6 months old Samsung Galaxy S8 and just today the clock app randomly crashed. Phone reboots or clock app’s cache clearing won’t help. App won’t open, just says “Clock application stopped”, over and over again. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated!Solution: If clearing the cache and data of the clock app from the application manager does not fix the problem then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below. Start the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

So I'm having a really strange problem with my Samsung Galaxy S3. This is my first 'high-tech' Android, so I could be missing something. However my phone is not announcing when I get a text message, with the sound I've selected. It just stays silent, and the blue led starts flashing. The phone volume on the clicker is all the way up.
In settingssound I have:Silent mode: OffVolume: All four are 3/4 or aboveDefault notifications: WhistleSound and vibration: TickedI'm getting all the other sounds from the device, just not the text message one. Please help!! As far as I know, there isn't a notification 'toggle' on the slide down panel. Notifications will appear at the bottom of the panel which you can either clear off or select and you'll jump straight to the relevant app.Have you tried playing the notification files through a sound/media player to see if the files itself might be glitchy?
Open up 'My Files' (or your chosen file explorer), navigate to sdcard - Notification. Also you can try putting your own sound file in the folder and checking if that file plays as a notification tone.If you've installed Light Flow (or similar notification app), there's a possibility it might run in conflict with your settings. Uninstall any related app and test it again.Let's start with that first and see where it takes us. The text message ringtone is enabled and also the volume on the notification is at the highest in the volume settings and for some reason it doesnt have any effect.I have also tried to go into messages settings where the notification settings are and made sure that they are selected and also an ringtone is assigned. That didnt work either. Also assigning a ringtone on various 'to do' apps.doesnt work. The same for receiving emails. But the visual notifications work.lights and the screen lighting up when receiving messages.etc.Any ideeas how to fix this.?
